Our Mission
The Holy Bible Verses provides accessible, well-organized Scripture for every season of life. We help readers find the right Bible verses for what they're facing — anxiety, grief, marriage, parenting, faith, and hundreds more topics — by curating verses from the most trusted public-domain English Bible translations.
Our Sources
Every Bible verse on this site is sourced directly from public-domain English translations. We never paraphrase, alter, or rewrite Scripture.
- World English Bible (WEB) — primary translation, modern English
- King James Version (KJV) — historic English standard
- American Standard Version (ASV) — formal-equivalence translation
- Berean Standard Bible (BSB) — balanced readability and accuracy
Cross-references draw from the public-domain Treasury of Scripture Knowledge (TSK). Theological terminology aligns with mainstream Protestant scholarship.
Our Editorial Process
Each topical compilation on this site goes through a structured research and review process:
- Topic selection — driven by reader interest, search demand, and gaps in existing coverage
- Verse research — relevant verses identified through canonical concordances, semantic relevance to the topic, and cross-reference networks
- Compilation — verses arranged in canonical order with introductory context
- Verification — every cited verse is checked against the source translation; topical relevance is confirmed
- Quality review — readability, theological accuracy, and source attribution are checked before publication
- Publication — articles published with clear publication and review dates
We update articles when we receive corrections or when our understanding of a topic deepens. Updated articles carry a visible "Updated YYYY-MM-DD" notice.
Theological Stance
The Holy Bible Verses is non-denominational and Protestant in canon (66 books). We focus on Scripture itself rather than denominational distinctives. Where Christians of good faith disagree on interpretation (baptism, eschatology, predestination, ecclesiology), we present the relevant passages and let readers study with their pastors, churches, and traditions.
We hold the Bible as the inspired Word of God. Our compilations are tools for study and devotion — not substitutes for Scripture itself, your local church, or qualified pastoral guidance.
Corrections Policy
If you find an error — a misattributed verse, a translation error, a topical misclassification, or a theological misrepresentation — please write to us at [email protected]. We respond to every correction request within 7 days and update the article with a visible notice.
